Tamara and I met on a whim. I wasn’t seriously planning to buy a house, I didn’t think I’d be able to get a mortgage, and was really stepping outside my comfort zone to even just go and look at a house. The house was in the neighborhood I needed at a price that didn’t seem so astronomically out of reach. I decided to arrange a tour through Zillow. I was paired up with Tamara. She met me at the house and was communicative and authentically human from day one. We looked around the house and chatted. I told her the details of my situation. She gave me the name of a mortgage lender she works with and said I ought to reach out to him. If only to get advice on what I needed to do to successfully apply for and obtain a mortgage loan. So, I did. The house went to contingent with another buyer as of the night I looked at it. I got prequalified for a loan! The buyers backed out of the contract because of a conflict with HOA rules and their work vehicle needs. Huzzah! I waffled and argued all the pros and cons with myself and wore a groove in my floor from all my pacing. I told Tamara to go for it and we placed an offer. She supported me practically with advice and help, she encouraged me emotionally, and she worked on my behalf to negotiate fair terms. One month later I became a first time home owner and had a new friend. I think who Tamara is as a person was critical to this whole thing happening like it did. I am so grateful to her for her role in my homebuying adventure and would wholeheartedly recommend her.
